Renting a forklift: a guide to keeping your business going strong

Moving forward is easier to do when you have the equipment you need to tackle today’s challenges. Hyster knows that your business is essential to getting products and supplies to those who need them.

We also understand the business-end of materials handling and can offer flexible commercial options to improve your bottom line.  We do this by providing new, used, and lease equipment options, as well as tailored finance and maintenance packages.

But sometimes it is best to rent.  And we have a wide variety of forklifts available right now for immediate long or short-term rental to meet your materials handling needs.

Are you short on time?

Sometimes a need for an extra ‘pair of machinery hands’ happens when you’re too busy dealing with your day-to-day operations to research the best option for purchase, let alone sit down with the financials to raise the funds required. We have a range of forklifts in- stock and ready to go – it’s easy to rent with Hyster.

Is your existing forklift showing wear and tear and needs replacing or maintenance?

Don’t just make-do without.  Renting a machine in the meantime is a great option to reduce downtime and keep your operations moving.

Are you approaching a busy season or expecting an increase in your warehouse activity/deliveries?

In this current time of delayed shipments and stock shortages, your business may be experiencing ebbs and flows that are not consistent.  You will need to respond quickly and efficiently to ensure your operations are not clogged down any further.

Does your materials handling or warehousing operation need modernisation?

Buying new all at once is hard on cashflow.  You can spread your investment by renting part of your required fleet.

You have recognized the need for a forklift but don’t know what model is best for your business?

Perhaps your safety audit has identified a need to automate materials handling and you’re not ready to commit to the cost of purchase yet.  Try before you buy.  Talk to our team about which forklift solution could work for you, your workspace and your team, and trial run a couple of different models before you make your purchase decision.

You would like to change dealers and rent the best?

We can help with that.  Hyster meets tough challenges.  Our products and services are designed for harsh environments, heavy duty usage and demanding operations across a wide range of industries and applications.  But don’t just take our word for it – try before you buy.

Are you a new business or a start-up thinking about materials handling efficiency?

As we said, we understand the business end of materials handling and care about your bottom-line.  We recognise that New Zealand companies have diverse needs and we have a machine for every job.  Our team has the expertise to assess your business need and access to a  materials handling solution – from a simple pallet jack to the biggest yellow container carrier.
